In addition, she looks at the domestic and global effects of the U.S. shale revolution and engages in work on global energy transition. Mikulska is also a senior fellow at University of Pennsylvania’s Kleinman Center for Energy Policy, where she teaches graduate-level seminars on energy policy, and she sits on the editorial board of the Adam Mickiewicz University Law Review. She speaks Polish, English, German, Farsi and Russian. She received a law degree from Adam Mickiewicz University, a master’s degree in international relations from the University of Windsor in Canada, and a Ph.D. in political science from the University of Houston.

Graduate of the Military University of Technology, Police Academy in Szczytno and Collegium Civitas. At the National Defence University of Warsaw he completed doctoral studies in the field of management of public institutions and obtained a doctoral degree on the basis of a thesis entitled “The role of the Head of the Technical Protection Department in Polskie Sieci Elektroenergetyczne S.A.”. He received his doctoral degree on the basis of a thesis entitled “Managing the security of public persons”. He gained his professional experience in technical and combat structures. He served, among others, in the engineering and armoured troops, the Special Branch of the Military Police and the Government Protection Bureau. He commanded subunits in international military missions abroad. Repeatedly awarded for the implementation of complex mandate tasks and support for allied subunits.  He was a member of international expert groups on terrorist threats. He is the author of a number of solutions for the cooperation of state services, which have been successfully implemented. Within his research interests he focuses on security management. He tries to combine knowledge from different fields of science in order to analyse available models and create new ones.

Maciej Jakubik – Executive director of Central Europe Energy Partners (CEEP) since October 2016. He has been a diplomat and civil servant for several years working in Polish public administration, EU institutions and international organisations. Prior to CEEP, worked in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Warsaw, in the Embassy of Poland in Moscow, EU Delegation in Kiev and the Chancellery of the President of Poland where he dealt with foreign and energy affairs.

A graduate of Tadeusz Kościuszko Land Forces Military Academy and the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Wroclaw. He obtained his PhD degree in security sciences at the Police Academy in Szczytno, defending his doctoral thesis on limiting the effects of terrorist attacks in public buildings. He gained professional experience in aeromobile army units as well as field and special military police. He completed a number of courses and trainings, including a specialist course for U.S. Air Force police officers and a course for police operation commanders and police negotiators.
