Expert and President of the Management Board of Ignacy Łukasiewicz Institute of Energy Policy. Associate professor at the Department of Economy of the Faculty of Management, Rzeszow University of Technology. Graduate of Faculty of International and Political Studies of University of Lodz. He is an energy policy expert at the Casimir Pulaski Foundation and energy and climate expert at the Kościuszko Institute Expert for the Presidential Expert Programme "Ideas Laboratory" (2012-2013). Reviewer of Polish and international scientific journals. Author of a few dozen scientific papers and analyses concerning energy policy and energy security.

Andrzej PODRAZA, PhD, Associate Professor
Political scientist, Head of the Institute of Political Sciences and International Affairs at the Faculty of Social Sciences of the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin, Head of the International Relations Office at the Catholic University of Lublin. His main areas of interest are global relations, European integration, transatlantic relations, international security, including the concept and threats of energy security and security in cyberspac and protection of critical infrastructure. In the past he was a researcher at the Royal Institute of International Affairs in London (Chatham House) and an expert of the European Commission. Member of Team Europe at the European Commission Representation in Warsaw. Member of many national and international scientific associations. Lecturer in many foreign centres. Author of many scientific publications published in Poland and abroad, including those on energy security and cyberspace.
Adam SZURLEJ, PhD, DSc, Eng. Associate Professor
Associate professor at the Department of Oil and Gas Engineering of the Faculty of Drilling, Oil and Gas, AGH University of Science and Technology in Kraków. He graduated from the Faculty of Energy and Fuels, AGH. Administrator of postgraduate course: Natural gas market – opportunities and barriers to development. His scope of scientific interest is related to the natural gas market, energy security, energy policy and broadly understood energy raw materials trade. Author or co-author of over 100 publications.
Tomasz MŁYNARSKI, PhD, DSc, Associate Professor
A political scientist and associate professor at the Department of International Relations and Foreign Policy of the Institute of Political Sciences and International Relations, Jagiellonian University. He specializes in issues connected with energy security, contemporary foreign policy and security of France. He is the author of monographs and articles, e.g., Bezpieczeństwo energetyczne w pierwszej dekadzie XXI w. Mozaika interesów i geostrategii [Energy security in the first decade of the 21st century: a mosaic of interests and geostrategies] (2011), Francja w procesie uwspólnotowienia bezpieczeństwa energetycznego i polityki klimatycznej Unii Europejskiej [France in the course of communitising energy security and climate policy of the European Union] (2013), Energetyka jądrowa wobec globalnych wyzwań bezpieczeństwa energetycznego i reżimu nieproliferacji w erze zmian klimatu [Nuclear power vs global challenges of energy security and the non-proliferation regime in the age of climate changes] (2016).
LTCD (OF-3) POL N, PhD Rafał Miętkiewicz
Head oficer of the Naval Warfare Department, Faculty of Command and Naval Operations, Polish Naval Academy. Graduate of Gdynia Maritime University (Postgraduade Studies of Security and Crisis Mnagement). An author of two books and few dozens of papers concerning use of unmanned systems in maritime domain. The area of scientific interests related to modern technologies in activity at sea including maritime critical infrastructure protection (energetic primarily).
Tomasz Mirowski, PhD, Eng.
Researcher at the Division of Minerals and Energy Sustainable Development at the Mineral and Energy Economy Research Institute of the Polish Academy of Sciences. He deals with the use of energy from renewable sources, in particular biomass, as well as fuel and energy management in economic and environmental aspects, both in large-scale and distributed (prosumer) power generation. In the years 2001-2014 he worked on a scientific and didactic position at the Faculty of Energy and Fuels of the AGH University of Science and Technology. Apart from his scientific work at the Institute, he has also been an expert since 2009 at the National Centre for Research and Development in the field of biofuels and the Regional Operational Programme for the Małopolska Region for 2007-2013 and 2014-2020 in the field of Environmental Protection and Renewable Energy Sources and Energy Efficiency.
Ewa MATACZYŃSKA, PhD
Doctoral degree in economic sciences awarded by the Institute of Economics of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw. Dissertation: "The application of the DEA method to the analysis of changes in the technical efficiency of regulated network enterprises. On the example of domestic electric energy distribution companies". Since 1994 professionally related to the power sector. Representative of PGE Dystrybucja in the European association E.DSO for Smart Grids as a member of the Committees: Technology & Knowledge Sharing, Innovation & Research, Regulation and Policy. Expert of the Energy Policy Institute since 2016. Member of working group WG1 Reliable, economic and efficient energy system in ETIP SNET (European Technology & Innovation Platforms, Smart Networks for Energy Transition). Area of scientific interest related to the electricity sector, including EU-level regulations for the sector and the development of new technologies in the energy market.
Anna WITKOWSKA, PhD
Doctor of social sciences in the discipline of political sciences, assistant at the Institute of Political Sciences and International Relations of the Jagiellonian University and expert at the Institute of Energy Policy of Ignacy Lukasiewicz. Scholarship holder at the University of Duisburg-Essen in Germany, a member of the Polish Society of Political Sciences and the Polish Society for International Studies. Author of many scientific publications as well as expert analyses and reports. The main areas of research interests include energy policy and energy security, especially of German-speaking countries, geoeconomy, economic policy and global energy transition.
Dominik BRODACKI, MA, PhD Candidate
A graduate of the European Studies in the Faculty of Journalism and Political Science and Law in the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Warsaw. Currently a PhD Candidate in the Institute of European Studies at the Faculty of Political Science and International Studies of the University of Warsaw. Main research interests are focused on the energy policy, the natural gas market, e-mobility, as well as the energy law, in particular the EU law.
Graduate of the bachelor studies in the field of Internal Security with the specialty in Economic Security at the Faculty of Management at the Ignacy Łukasiewicz University of Technology in Rzeszów. Currently a student of master degree in the Internal Security with the specialty of Cyber Security. Member of the Student Government Parliament at the Ignacy Łukasiewicz University of Technology in Rzeszów, Member of the Management Board of the Faculty of Student Government, as well as Member of the Student Academic Circle "Eurointegration". His scientific interests focus on energy security, internal security, geography, geopolitics and economics.
