II Polish National Competition for Local Government Units for the Most Energy Innovative Local Government – edition 2022

This is the second edition of the Competition, organized periodically by the Ignacy Lukasiewicz Institute for Energy Policy. Settlement of the Competition and presentation of awards will take place on September 12, 2022. – during the first day of the 7th Scientific Conference “Energy Security – Pillars and Development Perspective” at the Rzeszow University of Technology.

The purpose of the Competition is to identify and reward the municipalities most engaged in modernizing the energy sector, contributing to the implementation of energy and climate policy. The competition is designed to consolidate and popularize knowledge about the actions taken by local governments in carrying out a sustainable energy transition.

In addition, the project is aimed at raising awareness in the field of energy and environmental protection among local communities, thereby encouraging the region’s residents to act as active and informed users and stimulate grassroots movements to accelerate the modernization of the Polish energy sector and improve air quality.
