On December 5-6, 2024, the conference “Protecting Our Citizens: Comparative Insights into European Civil Defence Systems” was held at the Cracow University of Economics. The event was co-organized by the Cracow University of Economics, the Jagiellonian University, the Institute for Strategic Studies, the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung, and the City of Kraków.
Anna Bałamut, Ph.D. an expert from the Ignacy Łukasiewicz Institute for Energy Policy, participated in the conference. As she emphasized, the event was not only an opportunity to analyze differences in European civil defense systems but also served as an important platform for collaboration among representatives from various sectors.
The event was aimed at a broad audience, including representatives of public administration, uniformed services, non-governmental organizations, and the academic community.
