Baltic Sea Offshore Wind Summit-313
Our Experts participated in the First International Baltic Offshore Wind Summit, which took place on March 10, 2025, at the European Solidarity Centre in Gdańsk. The Baltic Sea Offshore Wind Summit 2025 gathered key stakeholders from across the offshore wind industry, government institutions, financial organizations, research centers, and international partners. The event was organized by Krzysztof Bulski [1] and BalticWind.EU [2].

Over 150 participants from 8 Baltic countries attended, including 30 renowned speakers, with 10+ panels and keynotes on operational security, infrastructure development, value chains, workforce growth, and innovations in the wind energy sector.

Capt. (N) Rafał MIĘTKIEWICZ [3], DSc, Assoc. Prof.  highlighted the strategic shift towards the sea as a crucial element in Poland’s energy diversification, security, and resilience. He emphasized that as offshore wind projects gain economic importance, Poland must recognize the role of the Navy in protecting maritime interests and enforcing regulations in Polish and international waters.

Zuzanna Nowak [4] focused on the Baltic Sea’s crucial role in Europe’s energy transition, arguing that without offshore wind development in the region, the EU’s green transformation cannot succeed. She called for stronger international cooperation, infrastructure investments, and technological innovation, particularly from the perspective of European policymakers in Brussels.
